Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar, who is the brand ambassador of Levis jeans, says his butt looks good in the denim. “Though the company has used various words to describe its new product, what I can say is that my butt looks good in the jeans,” Akshay said at the launch of the Levis 501 brand. At the age of 40, he is riding high on the success of his recent release “Singh Is Kinng”. Akshay who is the first Indian celebrity to have been incorporated by the company for endorsement.
Our space had already informed you about stuntman Akshay Kumar walking the ramp at the recent Lakme Fashion Week for Tarun Tahiliani. While he did this jig on the ramp, he took a pit stop and walked off the stage to wife Twinkle and indulged in a bit of “fun play” asking her unbutton his jeans. As Twinkle unbuttoned Akshay, some in the crowd to roared with delight and some others dropped their jaw in shock. However, this stunt of Akshay did not go down well with the social activists in the public who have taken great offense to the act deeming it “obscene.”So, they have done just that what could be expected from them. They have gone ahead and filed a police report against the organizers and the couple. If they are found guilty of the crime, a case will be registered and further action will be taken. The activists claim, “Celebrities spark controversies by applying such tactics. How can a person, who was honored with Padma Shri award by the government, behave like this in public?”Akshay Kumar will be called into the Police Station where the complaint was lodged, for questioning. Akshay Kumar was quick in apologizing for his “indecent act” saying, “If I have hurt anyone’s sentiments with my actions, I am sorry because I did not mean to do that.”
Akshay Kumar may have to pay a heavy price for his unbuttoning act at the Lakme fashion week. He along with his wife Twinkle and the organizers of LFW will be arrested shortly in response to the complained registered by social activist, Anil Nair.According to Arvind Mahabdi, ACP, “We’ll make the arrests soon and then take their statements.”
The police is yet to send orders to the pair. The spokesperson of Akshay, Sanchita said, “We’ll respond when the police approach us.” However the couple is in the safe side as the offence is bailable and after three months of imprisonment, they may be released on bail.
On April 13, the faith of Akki and Twinkle will be decided. A case has been filed against them in the Meerut police station.
